10 Year Anniversary!

Well, ten years ago this time
the Mr. and I tied
the knot.
We have had a wild Roller Coaster ride
for the first several years and we seem to finally be in the Ferris Wheel.
(A ride I am much more comfortable and happy on!)

We have never really done more than dinner and a card,
but this year was a big one
10!
We thought we owed it to ourselves to step outside the box and
do something bigger than dinner and a card.
I booked us a trip to
Palm Springs at the Palm Springs Riviera Resort and Spa (through Groupon Getaways)
 in mid-October...
But the actual weekend of, we did a little stay-cation!

Let me just say,
Loved it!

It was by far the best anniversary 'trip' ever!
We knew where everything was, found places we didn't know existed
and we were able to be pretty thrifty!
We booked a room at a little boutique hotel downtown Spokane, called the Montvail.
(Again, thru Groupon....I heart Groupon...seriously, I do!  If you haven't dealt with Groupon you ought to...it's that simple.)
With our room package we we able to valet our truck for free,
we received a $20 gift card good for Catacombs restaurant.
BTW, Mr. had never been to Catacombs so it was pretty awesome...
so much history.
We had some drinks and nibbles and then we did a little shopping.
We decided to go out the the new casino and have dinner
at a place called Masslow's.
It did not disappoint...swanky!
Who knew!?...it could defiantly pass for a Vegas restaurant and right here in Spokane.
We finished up the night with a little gambling and then back to the hotel.
Next morning we set out for a little breakfast at the Davenport Towers.
If you ever come to Spokane, you must go to the Davenport and the Towers!
Beautiful!
We are so spoiled to have somewhere so beautiful right here in our own city.
We finished up our day with a little antiquing, a movie, then
happy hour at Twigs.
It was all so relaxed...it would do it again in a heartbeat.
I am researching more places to go and things to do in Spokane
for our next stay-cation.

What kinds of things do you do for your anniversaries?

but we wanted a little something for now
